3 SIMPLE TIPS FOR DESIGNING A BEAUTIFUL RECEPTION

There are so many possibilities for creativity when it comes to decorating this space. Rules don't apply! Just when we think we've seen it all, an eager new bride comes in and shows us just how versatile one can be with an open floor plan and killer natural light. See the pictures below for inspiration from past clients.

Decorating this space can seem overwhelming for some, so we wanted to share a few ideas that may ease your mind before the big day.

1. HAVE A PLAN

Going in blind could mean disaster! So write down your ideas, make lists, then execute. Having a plan in place before you start will help you and your loved ones pull off a stress-free (or mostly stress-free) event.

2. K.I.S.S. (KEEP IT SIMPLE SWEETIE)

Some might say 'Keep It Simple Stupid' but we don't like name-calling. It's so easy to get caught up in the moment and lost in the little things, but remember it's all about you and the person you're about to marry. The flowers will wilt. So keep it simple, focus on a few key decor items you love and forget the rest. Also, simple decorations make for a very tasteful appeal that your guests will appreciate, and the clean up is easier!

3. FUNCTION OVER FASHION

If only we could all afford a Kate Spade inspired wedding! Let's be honest, most of us are on a budget. So functionality is important. Not just for cost purposes, but for the enjoyment of you and your loved ones. Making the space pretty is easy, but remember to keep the flow of the event in mind as well. Will there be dancing? (Silly question) Make sure the dance floor is near the food tables so those that like to "sit and watch" can feel like they're a part of it all. Will there be a receiving line? Make sure there is enough space for your guests to comfortably get in line and out of line. See where we're going?

We hope these ideas will bring you comfort and get you excited to start planning your big day!
